我們知道，新托福口語考試的第一部分被命名為Independentdescription， 這就意味著考生在本道題里的任務是在沒有閱讀或聽力作為背景知識的情況下進行獨立描述�？碱}中心詞可能是人物、地點、物品和事件中的任意一種，考生會得到15秒準備時間和45秒的陳述時間。這個部分對于廣大考生來說，最大的備考的幾點難度在于：
題庫范圍特別大，不存在逐題準備的可能性。
15秒的準備時間極短，很難進行完整的思路整理。
45秒的陳述時間對于不熟悉的話題來說，比較難控制。
屏幕上的倒數(shù)計時器對于考生是個很大的心理震懾。
下面將按照人、地、事、物四種類型分別提供一些策略供廣大考生備考。
一、 人物類
我們拿例題來分析：Describethe person you admire most. Explain why you admire this person. Include detailsand examples to support your response. 拿到一個題目后，腦海中應該馬上浮現(xiàn)出最基本的答題框架：topicsentence + supporting ideas。 topic sentence最簡單的做法就是把原題做paraphrase， 只要不完全照抄原題就好。所以，筆記任務就落在整合supportingideas的思路上。對于考試極短的準備時間來說，外貌特征等細節(jié)描述沒有品質(zhì)描述容易，所以，考試可以試試在15秒時間內(nèi)整合幾個形容詞引導思路，如：humorous、open-minded、easy-going、warm-hearted、sociable、high-driven、visionary、knowledgeable、he’sa very open-mindedperson and he’s always flexible to changes。同時我們還可以用舉例的方法來進行擴展，如He’sa high-drivenguy and he worked so hard on his TOEFL test， study almost 24/7.
二、 地點類
其實地點題是托�？谡Z規(guī)律性最強的考題，按照不同的考題要求，我們可以簡單地把地點整合為四種：大地點、中地點、私人場所和公共場所，然后，直接鎖定需要準備的四個地方：acountry、acity、aroom、alibrary。
以大地點為例，介紹一個國家，比如Britain。我們可以從幾個角度分析：
time-honoredhistory and splendid culture，這之后可以給出一些歷史景點來證明觀點，比如ElizabethTower和Big Ben。
abundantEnglish breakfast and delicate refreshments in the afternoon
royalfamily & royal parade
prestigiousuniversities and prominent professors
這些信息整合起來可以應對類似于Describea place you’ve never been to but want to visit someday. Include details andexamples to support your response.
三、 事件題
What is the most memorable event youexperienced in your life? Explain why it is memorable. 類似的事件題的關鍵形容詞可以換為：embarrassing、challenging、disappointing、hard等等。較難的題可以出成：Describe a time when youneeded help from others， how he or she helped you and what was the result? Please includedetails and examples to support your answer. 這類題目跟個人親身經(jīng)歷有關，考場上容易一時沒有思路，也很難去杜撰，所以應在考前多去回憶童年往事，同時嘗試著用英文表達出來。假如實再無法勾起美好的回憶，那就去杜撰吧，注意是考前練習時杜撰，千萬別到了考場上再去杜撰。
四、 物品題
Choose an object you like and explain whyit is of special value to you. Please include specific examples and details inyour explanation.這道題屬于物品題，備考難度在于出題范圍格外廣，可能會出成：atype of pet、akind of game、yourimportant gift�？忌梢試L試從兩個角度去答題：對物品本身的簡單描述+物品的來源或是重要意義，如描述寵物可以說：coz he keeps mecompany、whenI was upset， hewas always by my side。又如描述禮物可以說： The PSP was a gift frommy Grandpa， it was a credit to my hard work on the SAT test.
