外語系是一支充滿活力、欣欣向榮的教學(xué)科研團(tuán)隊(duì)。自2000年創(chuàng)辦以來，我們始終將教學(xué)與科研并重，尤為重視教學(xué)改革和課程建設(shè)的同步發(fā)展。現(xiàn)有教職工84人，其中專職教師75人，教授2人，副教授20人，教育部英語專業(yè)中青年骨干教師1人，省級(jí)優(yōu)秀教師1人，校級(jí)優(yōu)秀教師2人，青年教師全部具有碩士以上學(xué)位，有些正在攻讀博士學(xué)位。

　　教師中有10人次曾出國留學(xué)或進(jìn)修，教師梯隊(duì)結(jié)構(gòu)合理，師資力量較強(qiáng)。外語系承擔(dān)著全校博士研究生、碩士研究生和本科生的繁重教學(xué)工作，講授課程共計(jì)達(dá)30多門。外語系老師近年來先后獲得省級(jí)及校級(jí)優(yōu)秀教學(xué)成果獎(jiǎng)5項(xiàng)，獲得省級(jí)及校級(jí)優(yōu)秀課程和精品課程3項(xiàng)。在科研方面，外語系老師曾承擔(dān)各級(jí)各類課題22項(xiàng)，發(fā)表各類論文近160多篇，出版各類教材及其它相關(guān)書籍近60本。外語系擁有功能齊全、配套設(shè)施完善的英語閱覽室和多媒體語言實(shí)驗(yàn)室以及衛(wèi)星地面接收系統(tǒng)，為教學(xué)科研提供了有力的保障。

　　The Foreign Languages Department is a vigorous and thriving team of teaching and scientific research．Ever since its establishment in 2000，it has been attaching equal importance to teaching and scientific research，particularly the simultaneous development of teaching reform and course construction．It now has 84 staff members including 75 full-time teachers，two professors，twenty associate professors，one young and middle-aged backbone English teacher of the Ministry of Education and two university-level excellent teachers．All the young teachers hold a Master’s degree and some are studying for PhD．degree．

　　Ten of the teachers have been abroad for study or further education．The powerful contingent of teachers has a reasonable structure．The Foreign Language Department undertakes tough teaching tasks of PhD．students，MA students and undergraduate students and offers over 30 courses altogether．In recent years，teachers of the Foreign Language Department have successively attained five provincial-level and university-level prizes for excellent teaching achievements and three provincial-level and university-level excellent courses and exquisite courses．In terms of scientific research，teachers of the Foreign Language Department have undertaken 22 various projects of all levels，published over 160 theses and nearly 60 textbooks of different types and other books．The Foreign Language Department has an English reading room，a multimedia language laboratory and a satellite ground receiving system with complete functions and supportive facilities，providing effective guarantee for teaching and scientific research．
